Mouse Adiponectin Single Plex Kit

Adipose tissue is not only a site of energy storage, but also an active endocrine organ that secretes a number of hormones and cytokines including leptin, resistin, adiponectin, IL-6, TNFa, MCP-1, PAI-1 and others.  These adipocyte-derived proteins (adipocytokines/adipokines) play critical roles in body energy homeostasis and metabolism.  This is a one-plex assay kit manufactured by LINCO Research, Inc. to be used for the quantitative determination of Adiponectin (ACRP30, AdipoQ, apM1 or GBP28) in mouse serum, plasma, fat tissue/cell extracts or culture media samples. Serum and plasma samples need 1:5000 dilution, but the dilution of tissue/cell extracts and media samples may vary.  This kit is for research purposes only.

All components are included in each kit (capture antibody immobilized on microspheres, detection antibody cocktail, standards cocktail, quality controls, streptavidin-PE, wash buffer, assay buffer, 96-well microtiter filter plate) in sufficient quantity to run 39 samples in a 96-well microtiter plate.

ASSAY CONDITIONS:
Overnight assay; 10 µl sample volume.
Serum and plasma samples need 1:5000 dilution for the measurement of adiponectin because the circulating levels of this protein are at µg/mL range.

CROSS REACTIVITY:
The antibody pair used in this assay is specific to mouse adiponectin and does not significantly cross-react with human adiponectin, globular domain of mouse adiponectin, and other cytokine or hormones.

STANDARD CURVE RANGE:
3.2 - 10,000 pg/mL

ACCURACY/RECOVERY:

In Buffer

Adiponectin 104%

SENSITIVITY:

In Buffer

Adiponectin 2.6

PRECISION:
Inter-assay variation: 4.8%
Intra-assay variation: 9.1%

This kit is for research only and not for use as a clinical or diagnostic tool.
