Rat Leptin ELISA Kit
Leptin is synthesized in adipocytes as a 16kD molecule and the circulating level is directly proportional to the total amount of fat in the body. It binds to its receptors in the hypothalamus and plays an active role in regulation of food intake, energy expenditure and reproductive function.
This ELISA kit is used for the non-radioactive quantification of leptin in rat serum, plasma and other biological media. It is a two-site immunoassay with high sensitivity and excellent dynamic range. This kit offers an alternative non-radioactive immunoassay for laboratories interested in reducing use of radioisotopes. One kit is sufficient to measure 37 unknown samples in duplicate.
*All components are included (standards, matrix solution, quality controls, wash buffer, assay buffer, substrate and stop solutions, assay plate, antiserum, biotinylated detection antibody, and enzyme linked streptavidin) necessary to complete a 96-well plate ELISA
