Human Cytokine/Chemokine LINCOplex Kit
Cytokine is a generic name used for a diverse group of soluble proteins and peptides which act as humoral regulators either under normal or pathological conditions to modulate the functional activities of individual cells and tissues. These proteins also mediate interactions between cells directly and regulate processes taking place in the extracellular environment. Cytokines differ from
hormones in that they act on a wider spectrum of target cells and also, unlike hormones, they are not produced by specialized cells which are organized in specialized glands. This group of proteins include lymphokines, interferons, colony stimulating factors and chemokines.
The LINCOplex® line of kits enables simultaneous multi-analyte detection and measurement of Human Cytokines and Chemokines.You may customize your assay kit by selecting any combination of the cytokines/chemokines or the entire panel. LINCOplex® is especially useful for conducting multiplex assays on samples where limited volumes are available.
All components are included in each kit (capture antibody immobilized on microspheres, bead diluent, detection antibody, standards, quality controls, streptavidin-PE, wash buffer, assay buffer, 96-well microtiter filter plate, serum matrix) and are sufficient to run 39 samples (serum, plasma or tissue culture medium) in duplicate in a 96-well microtiter plate.
ASSAY CONDITIONS: 25 μL sample volume
2 hour or overnight assay
STANDARD CURVE RANGE: 3.2 - 10,000 pg/mL
SENSITIVITY IN TISSUE CULTURE/SERUM/PLASMA: 0.5 - 16 pg/mL; Refer to kit protocol for sensitivities for individual cytokines/chemokines.
CROSS REACTIVITY: The cytokine antibody pairs in this multiplex assay do not cross react with other analytes in the panel.
ACCURACY: 100 ± 20% for all analytes
PRECISION: Intra-assay 4.8 - 9.0%
